why'd I make this blog?

So I should probably explain why i created this blog. Well like the description says its a blog dedicated to capturing all aspects of my gap year as well as providing you guys with ideas and suggestions for your own gap year, or just really cool holidays.
It will cover my gap year from the minute my last day of school ends - 14 days and counting- to when my gap year ends - I honestly have no idea when that'll be - though i want to become a freelance travel writer so if that happens then i'll either continue to post on here or i'll make a new blog for that.
The other reason for creating this blog is that even if I don't do the writing course that i want to do at the royal school of journalism and just go straight into the industry - which is a possibility but I doubt that would be the best idea - then, as i found out while looking for some freelance jobs, a lot of places want at least three years worth of experience with blog writing and proof of it, I've already got two from doing media at school so i figured why not write about something that i'm actually extremely interested in and catalog my gap year.

First Trip

So my first trip is going to be to France a few days after my last exam to stay with my grandparents for some R&R for a few weeks. The area that they live in is in the country a few miles from the closest town so it's really peaceful and beautiful so I'll post some pics of it and if we go out or do something I think you guys would be interested in I'll do a post or two. After I come back I'll be home for a few days before going back to France for two weeks with my family. Because my sisters and little brother get easily bored we'll be going out more so I'll have more to document and tell you guys about, even if it's just a few pics of me and my siblings chilling by the pool. The great thing about the villa dad's renting for two weeks, other than it having a pool, is that it's in the mountains and it's equal distance from the town and the beach.
I'll put the link to the website dad found it on on here later
